Want to dash in Atlanta but do not have a car you can count on? ShahGo rents fuel-efficient used sedans by the week to app-based delivery drivers. Our first cars arrive in January 2027, and we are accepting applications now.

Who is a ShahGo rental for?

A ShahGo rental is for DoorDash drivers who need a reliable car without buying one. That includes new Dashers who are just getting started, drivers whose own car is in the shop, and people who want to try delivery before making a big purchase.

You must be 25 or older and have held your license for 2+ years. See the full list on our requirements page.

Why does a weekly rental fit DoorDash?

A weekly rental fits DoorDash because dashing is flexible, and your car should be too. You pay $450/week + tax, and that covers insurance, routine maintenance and unlimited miles. You only pay for gas.

  • Unlimited miles. Back-to-back orders add up fast. You never have to watch a mileage cap.
  • Maintenance included. Oil changes and routine service are on us, so a lot of stop-and-go driving does not wear down your own car.
  • No long contract. The minimum is 2 weeks. After that, you rent week to week.

Which ShahGo car is best for DoorDash?

The Toyota Prius is usually the best fit for DoorDash. Dashing means lots of short trips, idling at restaurants and crawling through parking lots. A hybrid saves the most gas in that kind of driving.

If you want a quieter ride for long dinner shifts, the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic are also very good on gas and easy to park downtown. All of our cars are 2011–2013 Toyota or Honda sedans. You can see them all on our cars page.

Every car has room on the back seat or floor for insulated hot bags and a drink carrier. Keep bags on the floor so food does not slide on a hard stop.

What do you need to rent a car for DoorDash?

You need a few documents and an active Dasher account. Here is the list:

  • Age 25 or older
  • Driver’s license held 2+ years
  • A clean driving record
  • A screenshot of your active DoorDash account
  • A 7-year driving record (MVR). Georgia drivers can download it from DDS Online Services.

What are some Atlanta tips for DoorDash drivers?

Atlanta DoorDash orders commonly peak at lunch and dinner. Many drivers plan their day around those two windows and rest in between.

  • Lunch and dinner peaks. Weekday lunch near office areas and evening dinner near busy restaurant strips are commonly the busiest times.
  • High-rise and apartment deliveries. Midtown, Buckhead and big apartment complexes in Gwinnett can be slow. Read the customer’s notes, look for gate codes and allow extra time for elevators and parking.
  • Weather days. Rain often brings more orders. Drive slowly and keep your hot bags zipped.
  • Stay close to home base. If you live near Lawrenceville, Duluth or Norcross, you can often dash nearby without driving into downtown.
