Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about insurance, payments, miles, the deposit and the rental rules.
Our cars are for delivery work only. Carrying passengers for pay (Uber, Lyft, taxi or any rideshare) is strictly prohibited.
How much does it cost to rent a car for delivery?
ShahGo cars are $450/week + tax. That price includes insurance, routine maintenance and unlimited miles. You pay for gas. There is a $500 refundable deposit and a 2-week minimum rental.
Can I use the car for Uber or Lyft rides?
No. ShahGo cars are for delivery work only — food, groceries and packages. Carrying passengers for pay (Uber, Lyft, taxi or any rideshare) is strictly prohibited, because our insurance and pricing are built for delivery use. Driving passengers for pay ends the rental and may forfeit the deposit.
Which delivery apps can I drive for?
You can deliver for DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, Amazon Flex, and Grubhub, and similar app-based delivery services. You can switch between apps or use more than one at the same time. If you are not sure about an app, call or text us at (770) 800-3365.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Insurance for the rental car is included in the weekly price, so you do not need to buy a separate commercial policy for our car. The exact coverage and the deductible are listed in your rental agreement, and we go over them with you before you sign.
What happens if I have an accident?
Make sure everyone is safe and call 911 if anyone is hurt. Call the police so a report is made, take photos of both cars and the scene, and get the other driver's name, insurance and plate number. Then call ShahGo right away at (770) 800-3365. Do not admit fault or make private deals. You are responsible for the deductible listed in your agreement and for any damage that is not covered, for example damage caused while breaking the rental rules.
Who pays for oil changes and maintenance?
We do. Routine maintenance — oil changes, tire rotations, brakes, wipers and scheduled service — is included. When the car is due, we set up a time with you. If something breaks from normal wear, call us and we will get it fixed. You are responsible for damage from misuse or accidents.
Are the miles really unlimited?
Yes. There is no mileage cap and no per-mile charge, so you can deliver across Gwinnett and the whole Atlanta metro. We only ask that the car stays in Georgia unless you get our OK first, and that you bring it in for scheduled maintenance.
Do I pay for gas?
Yes, you pay for your own gas. Our cars are fuel-efficient sedans — the Prius is a hybrid — which helps you keep more of what you earn. Please return the car with the same fuel level you received it with.
Who pays for tolls, parking and traffic tickets?
You do. Tolls (such as Georgia Express Lanes), parking tickets, speeding or red-light camera tickets and towing fees during your rental are the renter's responsibility. If a ticket or toll is billed to ShahGo, we charge it to your card at cost.
When do I get my deposit back?
The $500 deposit is refundable. After you return the car, we inspect it. If it is clean, undamaged, with the same fuel level and no unpaid rent, tolls or tickets, we refund the deposit to your card within about 7 business days. Any amounts owed are taken out first, and we tell you exactly what and why.
How do weekly payments work?
Rent is charged automatically every week to the debit or credit card in your name (autopay). The first week's rent and the deposit are paid at pickup. You can see the schedule in your rental agreement.
What happens if a payment is late?
Tell us before it happens — text or call (770) 800-3365. If an autopay charge fails, you have 24 hours to pay. If rent is still unpaid after 72 hours, we may disable and recover the car. We would always rather work something out with you first.
Can someone else drive my rental car?
No. Only the approved renter on the agreement may drive the car. Letting a friend or family member drive — even for a short trip — breaks the agreement and may not be covered by insurance.
How fast can I start?
Once you apply, we usually reply within one business day. If your driving record check comes back clear and a car is available, you can often pick up within a few days of approval. Our first cars are available in January 2027, and we are accepting applications now so you can be ready on day one.
What do I need to rent?
You must be 25 or older, have held a valid driver's license for at least 2 years, have a clean driving record (no DUI or reckless driving in 5 years and no more than 2 minor violations in 3 years), and an active delivery-app account. At pickup, bring 2 forms of ID, proof of address and a debit or credit card in your name. See the full requirements.
Do you check my driving record?
Yes. You upload your 7-year driving record (MVR) with your application, and with your permission we may also verify it before we approve a rental. In Georgia you can download your MVR online from DDS Online Services. We do not ask for your Social Security number or full license number on our website.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Yes, the minimum rental is 2 weeks. After that you can keep renting week to week for as long as you like. Please give us notice before you return the car.
What if the car breaks down?
Call us at (770) 800-3365. If the problem is from normal wear, we arrange the repair at no cost to you and, when a car is available, we can swap you into another one so you can keep delivering.
Where do I pick up the car?
At our office: 3545 Cruse Rd NW, Ste 309A, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. Pickups are by appointment. We serve drivers across Lawrenceville, Duluth, Norcross, Snellville, Buford, Suwanee, Lilburn and the Atlanta metro.
